Introduction Session
If you are interested in starting CrossFit, this is your first step. Email to set up a complimentary, one-on-one session with one of our certified coaches. The coach will teach you three CrossFit movements and put you through your first WOD (workout of the day). This workout will give you a good idea of what we do at CFD. If you like it, your next step is to schedule your Starter Series.
Starter Series
This is CFD’s version of a “foundations program.” In these one-on-one (or very small group) classes, the coach will teach you the fundamental movements of CrossFit. These sessions focus on healthy alignment in order to prepare you to safely attend CrossFit classes. The Starter Series typically consists of 3 or 4 one-hour sessions (the amount of time spent in the Starter Series usually depends on the skill level of the participant). Once you have completed your Starter Series, you are ready to attend any CrossFit class on our schedule.
This is our structured group CrossFit class. These 60-minute classes consist of a brief warm up, a strength movement, a metabolic conditioning workout (referred to as the “Metcon” or “WOD”), and accessory work. Every class is facilitated by one of our certified CrossFit coaches. (CFD members must complete the Starter Series prior to participating in these CrossFit classes.)
